Data you provide
- Name and email address when you create an account
- B2B provider account metadata (only username, email, or phone — passwords are never sent to our servers) that you add during provider setup
- Messages or other communications you send us
- Phone number, if you want to fetch prices from B2B providers that require one (e.g. MyPartner by MMT)
Data from social login
If you sign in with Google, we receive the public profile information Google shares with us.
Data we collect automatically
- IP address and approximate location
- Device and browser identifiers
- Usage analytics such as page views, feature interactions, and search queries
- SMS messages forwarded by the PriceScout Android app (OTP codes only, used solely for automated provider login)
Why We Use Your Information
We only use your personal information when we have a valid reason to do so:
To provide our service
We need your information to deliver the features you signed up for — creating your account, connecting your B2B provider accounts, running hotel price searches, and displaying consolidated results.
When you give permission
Sometimes we ask for your permission before using your information, for example signing in with Google or subscribing to email updates. You can always withdraw permission.
To keep our service running smoothly
We use some information to improve our service and keep it secure — preventing fraud, fixing bugs, analysing feature usage, and maintaining platform security.
When required by law
Sometimes the law requires us to keep or share certain information, such as for tax records or legal requests from courts or government agencies.

We use only essential and analytics cookies:
- Essential cookies — keep you logged in and secure the site.
- Analytics cookies (PostHog) — measure feature usage so we can improve the product.

- Payment processor (Cashfree Payments) — when you subscribe or make a payment
- Analytics provider (PostHog) — anonymised product-usage data
- Infrastructure providers — hosting and database services necessary to run the Platform
- Law enforcement or regulators — when legally obligated to comply with requests
Advertising & Third-Party Data Sharing
PriceScout.travel does not display advertisements, partner with advertising networks, or use advertising tracking technologies. We provide a completely ad-free experience.
We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with marketers, advertisers, or data brokers. Your privacy is fundamental to our service, not a commodity to be traded.
Data Storage & International Transfers
All production servers and databases are located in Nashik, India (MilesWeb). When data flows to third-party vendors outside India (such as PostHog), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
Data Retention
- Account data — retained until you request deletion or as otherwise required by law.
- Provider account metadata — deleted immediately when you disconnect a provider or delete your account.
- Search history — retained for your reference; deleted upon account deletion.
- Analytics & log data — kept only as long as needed to investigate incidents or defend claims.

Payment Processing
Subscription payments are processed securely through Cashfree Payments, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We support UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking. We never store full card numbers; we receive only tokenised metadata.

You may opt in to receive promotional emails or WhatsApp messages. You can unsubscribe via the link in any email or by contacting us at [email protected].
Chrome Extension & Android App
The PriceScout Chrome extension accesses your connected B2B provider portals in isolated Chrome profiles to fetch hotel prices on your behalf. It does not access your personal browsing data, history, or any other browser profiles.
The PriceScout Android app forwards only OTP SMS messages from supported B2B providers. It does not read or transmit any other messages, contacts, or phone data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified by email at least seven days before they take effect.
